Celebrating the Roseway’s Return to St. Croix

The World Ocean School schooner Roseway will be sailing into Christiansted around December 4 to begin their 14th season in St. Croix waters. If you’ve never been on a sunset sail on the Roseway, you really must. This year, in addition to their usual sunset sail opportunities in Christiansted, they have added dates in Frederiksted.

The Roseway Gala at Ha’Penny

We have a special fondness for the Roseway as The Club has hosted Roseway Galas in the past. Here are some photos from the 2016 Gala (Event Planner: Events by Nichole; Photographer: Kelly Greer).

About the Roseway and World Ocean School

After 94 years of service, Roseway is one of only three original Grand Banks schooners still sailing strong today. She is a registered U.S. National Historic Landmark operating in Boston and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

World Ocean School provides experiential education programs aboard schooner Roseway. Their programs challenge a diverse population of students to grow academically, physically, and emotionally. Students’ participation in these programs broadens their perspectives of the world, their communities, and themselves.

We hope to host the Roseway crew again sometime soon! Wishing you safe sailing on your way to St. Croix!
